Who makes the best gear drive for a blown big chevy that drives the pump off the cam?

We use one made by Pioneer which is a guy called Dave Parker (if my memory is correct)

Very good and made changes for us to fit Donovan timing case.

    Well recommended

    Gear Drive

I don't know if its the best but I use the Milodon gear drive. I've used it on 3 engines, just keep taking it off and putting it on another engine. Gears still look like they are brand new.

Acctually Fowler makes there own mag drive. The Pioneer drive is made by TRB Machine (www.trbmachine.com) as for the gear drive itself I really like the Keith Black unit but have also had real good luck with the donovan. Also the parts will interchange between the two while the Milodon is just a little different also if you run the Milodon with a front mag drive you will need a adapter where you do not with the KB or Donovan.

When I made mine, I called Dave Archer and chatted with him. He was the one that told me Fowler made them for him ? He also told me that Fowler made the spud drives for him. So I called Fowler and they told me the same thing and I bought 6 of the spud drives from them. I made mine clear a 80t 8mm pulley and also made it with the marmon flange mounting for the pump. I made it fit the RCD gear drive as that is what I use.

My guess would be that Dave has now gone to the above listed machine shop ?????
