Hey everyone, this one is for the chassis builders out there.

We are doing some running repairs and updates to the car and after looking at some parts for the car I saw the floating front motor mounts that clamp to the top chassis rail.

Are these recommended for certain applications? Currently our blown hemi is bolted to normal moly tabs which are welded to the chassis frame. Are these floating mounts better suited for higher hp applications or should I stick to the normal tabs on the frame?

    Thanks for reading!

Hello Joe hope you are all well :)

I wouldn't have them welded to the chassis, engine needs to 'float'

We have something like these http://secure.mckinneycorp.com/AMAZING/itemdesc.asp?ic=M-16&eq=&Tp=

Use a jubalee or band clamp to clamp to chassis and bolt the tab to the motor

    But...the clamp shouldn't be welded.

    Photo here mate.

    Hope this helps
