    Hi guys,

Has anyone ever had trouble if they had a hose shop make the hat and port lines, they claim they are using the Dayco hose which RBS sells but it's only $5 a line and they won't do the 90's.

    Just wanting some oppinions,
    Thanks,
    Trev

Thats a bunch cheaper than what I'm used to paying for hoses, but if the seat angle is right in the fittings, good crimp, good hose, pressure tested..... hell it should work.

The hose and straights are cheap to buy. Some 90's can go $10+ for the part. Do they have the correct crimper and die for high pressure hose? NOBODY is ready for even a small pit or garage fire. Just saw a friend today with a 75,000 hospital bill for a semi-bad burn to one hand and arm.

I like to use 90's .....after "pinching" a couple lines and burning pistons, they are well worth the extra $$!

I work in a hyd/industrial hose store. We're a Parker distributor, and Parker owns Dayco. The hose they should be using will be part# 5155-W03; which is a 3/16 ID 500psi WP. The fittings would be -3 JIC 37* flare; Parker JIC females have a "dual seat" which will accept the 37* JIC/AN type flare and the 45* SAE flare in the sizes which the thread is the same(every size except -6 and -12).

I build my own stuff using this hose and corresponding fittings, though as of yet Parker does not manufacture 90* ends in the -3 size.

I had some made by a hose company. They looked right and I thought they fit right too. The fitting on the hose ends were not right match for the nozzles. worked well in the pits and sprayed everywhere on the track. I blew a bunch of stuff up before I found out what the problems was. Call Spike and Ralph Gore and get the right stuff!
