GMC top kick 427 Gas/ 5 speed combo

    Anybody running a GM Topkick with the 427 gas motor with 5 speed. Just wondering if they had enough power?

    We run one of our single axle dump trucks with the gas engine, will haul 12 tons of gravel around fine....slow... but fine (700 rear end). Do yourself a favor and sell it and get any diesel 300 hp or more. You will never be totally satisfied with the 427, just won't make enough torque.
