    Converters

Seems to me that the average stall speed is around 5000 rpm, a little more if your tires can take it or less if you have launch control problems.

With that much motor dont skimp on the converter, you need a good one, a 10.5 inch will most likely work great.

We went with Bradco's converter and its been in two years now with no problems, Brad really knows what he's doing and he understands what you need and builds just that.

Don, call Art at Coan. He'll direct you in the right way. He might know of a customer that has one.

Call Greg at FTI Converters. Most of the cars in our group www.openoutlaw.com are running FTI converters and some are running high 3's in the 1/8 mi. Most are blower cars.

You will not find a guy more dedicated to making sure ou have the right converter in your car. Check out his website http://www.fticonverters.com/

Hi Dave! Are you coming down to Bradenton this weekend? The weather should be spectacular except for maybe a little windy!

When it comes to performance, Coan hands down wins this battle. I run one in my Top Alcohol Dragster; as do many of the ADRL PX cars. Art and Jason have the capabilty to do anything, their facility is unreal.

Have someone coming Saturday to install my new generator in my racing trailer. I am going to try to get there Sunday, just to see what everyone is running.

Coan! I bought the 10.5 bolt together and they said they set it at 7,500 stall. Blown BBC altered. It is pricey but worth it.

I had BTE build me a converter for just about the same application. I never used it because I went to Lenco Drive. It is brand new in the box. Paid 1100 will take 550 for it. Let me know if you want the part#.
