weight for ET

    How much ET gain for losing 200 lbs on a blown promod car that runs 4 teens.
    Its a 2900 lb pig now.

    Mike - the math (based on the physics of drag racing) needed to answer your question goes like this. ET changes like the "cube root" of the WT change (assuming nothing else get screwed up). You need a scientific calculator or spreadsheet to determine the cube root.

    2700 divided by 2900 = 0.931
    cube root of 0.931 = 0.97645
    new ET = 0.97645 times old ET 4.10 = 4.00

    So in this case, it's about 200 lbs = tenth for eighth-mile drag racing.
