You will be lucky to get more than 65% into the hat because either your fuel pressure will drop too much or your port nozzle jets will be too small.

Mike, how much fuel do you want going through the hat?I would think you would want most of your fuel going in the ports.

The only thing you really need is enough fuel in the ports to balance the EGTs/plug readings. The problem is that anything smaller than around a 38 jet anywhere becomes a target for dirt even with a good inline fuel filter. The more fuel you get into the hat the cooler the air charge and the more lubrication for the rotor stripes. Cooling the air charge is like lowering the Density Altitude it allows you to burn more fuel and make more power.

We filter the fuel going into the tank and clean out the tank on a routine basis but the inline SystemOne fuel filter still picks up all kinds of junk. On another car we lost an engine probably due to a port jet blocking up. At least put the screen on the inlet of the BV if nothing else.

So using 60/40 as an example, do you want 60 in the hat or port?

60% to the hat, or as much as possible.

To get that we use pretty small port nozzles, way under .038 (if that # is a diameter) our port nozzles are around .025, we have very fine filters in our fuel system.
