I will be running a Lencodrive for the first time this comming weekend. PSI C on a BAE6 and the two step set at 4200 RPM's with the injector wide open. Any idea how much fuel should be taken away when on the trans brake/ two step? Thanks.

    Lencodrive

I think it will make the car more manageable if you put an air throttle with a two step behind it or just ease the motor into the two step with your foot. I know there are teams that go WOT with the lencodrive, but all you are doing is creating extra power to get rid of at the hit. With a C at part throttle, loaded on the tbrake, you're probably going to have close to 20 lbs of boost. AT WOT, you'll probably have closer to 50. At 20 lbs of boost it probalby takes 10-15 degrees of timing at the hit out, At 50, you'll probably have to go more than that. That's why I would go with a air cylinder, you'll have a constant throttle position to set your stage flow, then adjust the actual launch rpm with the two step.

**Edit - I should have said takes 10-15 degrees of timing at the hit to get off the line.

Forget about that WOT. Listen to Will. Converters are Multipliers . Also roll into the throttle. or you may see those rods going the wrong direction. Don

    Do you have a flowmeter??

I dont know about a converter car but in a promod cluth we usually are between 7.2 and 8.7 gpm at 4200-4400rpm.

Bill, ......we are not hitters by no means but we use the air throttle to control the boost at the hit. We set the air throttle at 7000 and the 2 step at 4500 and make about 36lbs boost. You can control the boost by opening or closing the blades. We Dont use a bleed off on the 2 step by the way. DOC:cool:

Thanks guys, I have a couple Top Dragster guys using the air throttle but they are leaving on the top bulb and opening the injector with the delay box. That seems to work pretty good for them. The ADRL guys seem to favor the wide open throttle on the two step and control the power with the timing. I'm going to give that a try this weekend and report back. Doc, give me a call when you get a chance, I lost your number. 337-543-2028
