Im needing a new body for my 94 gordys chassis. I have found a decent fider glass body from a 2001 & i think it will fit without too much hassle. I wondering what the weight difference was between the 2 & are the carbon bodys as "rugged"? & easy to fix?. I woud also entertain buying a decent body in the texas area that will fit. The body im looking at is a long way from home

i have a carbon cutlass thats 189 lbs, and a fiberglass beretta thats 235 lbs, i dont think the new carbons are much lighter. carbon can be repaired to an extent, meaning minor holes and such, but a real long crack is hard to patch. fiberglass is easier to repair, but not near as strong or over time fiberglass gets brittle and cracks easier than carbon.

to me the cost difference unless you have an endless amount of money and you searching for thousandths of second the fiberglass will work fine i dont see that much difference in just the shell of the bodys a few pounds maybe as for repairs both can be easiely repaired if you have the right materials i repair both carbonfiber and fiberglass same process just different materials
