I am looking for a flex plate with 6 converter bolts for a blown SB chevy. All I have found are 3 bolt, is 6 bolt necessary?

    Thanks

Mezerie all the way; Also the are great to work with. Will help you out in a New York minute. I am learning this year with all the problems I have been having with this automatic /converter deal who is willing to sell you something, and then when you need help, act like they don;t have the time of day. for you. There products maybe good, but support is non existent. You would be surprised the big names. And support is a major issue. Don

    flex plate.

I know exactly what you are saying. I went through alot of oh no, made another bad choice. Ran there converter years ago. and they were good to deal with. Bought someone else s bolt together this year. They were happy to build me one in three days for $2700. Sent it back a week ago because I broke a bearing in it. It's 6 working days and still no word from them. Two more bad choices. It will never go back to them, also never my business. Just to mention a few things. I guess it's why it's called live & learn.. Just remember about harmonics. I learned alot over the last year about flex plates and harmonics. And tuition is very high for that class. That is why the alum. ones and non hardened one's crack. It is not the manuf. they just didn't do there homework. It also covered similar metals . I will learn in a few weeks if I pass or not. Going to get it back together as soon as I get the crank back. and take the test. Don

Also, if you get a steel flexplate, it needs to have a bronze or aluminun alignment hole in middle for torque converter.

Don't get me wrong .... I love my Meziere starter and I would not recommend any other brand flywheel starter also everything else I have ever had from Meziere has been of the best quality! Mezieres tech support is also excellent but...
I have been using the aluminum CSR flexplates on Larry Snyders recommendation for a few years now , both with / without ring gears- and I've had no issues.

maybe it's the combination, we had 2 aluminum flywheels before, broke both of them.
