Does anyone know what type of 'plastic' the buttons are made from?

Thanks guys. I thought as much but just wanted to confirm.

Dave, why do you say it 'must be for a chevy'?

Thanks Dave. Would you have a picture of a hemi one please? And what grade aluminium do you use?

    Many thanks,

I was hoping you could explain this some more. My chevy buttons slide into the wrist pin holes and are relieved for the oil ring. Are you saying most chevy wrist pins are below the oil rings?

Correct...hemi's with longer rods, and a chevy with longer rods (mine too), the button has a relief in it that the oil control ring goes thru. My buttons were made on lathe next door out of 6061 bar stock. about 20 minutes a button...they work great, just ran them last weekend for the first time
