If camshaft to connecting rod clearance is already a concern will advancing the cam make it better or worse?

It is a KB stage 10 raised cam block with GRP rods and a 54 mm "2.125 dia. I think" cam.

I have a R296-500 cam and I had to clearance my GRP roods on the odd side bank of the motor to clear the cam. Everything clears now. But I was wondering if I decided later to advance the cam would that reduce my already marginal clearance?

Just take a little time and check it, it should just clear mine at 60mm cam will leave traces on the rods but no trouble right now.
