Check out the 1/8 mile speeds and finishline speeds. Cowies car flat hauls that back half.

SONOMA, Calif. - Results of final, round 3 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Pacific Division, event at Infineon Raceway:

    Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
4 Shawn Cowie 2 Jim Whiteley
    E3 0.058 5.275 268.87 ****WINNER**** 0.038 5.288 262.90

    E1 (K Buzdas ) 0.096 5.292 266.32 (J Ahten ) 0.056 5.345 264.08
    Qualified: #2 5.316 266.74 #1 5.291 267.48

4:59 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 76 degrees, relative humidity 40 percent, barometer 29.35 inches, adjusted altitude 2,033 feet, track temperature 110 degrees.
These two have been this position several times before! Cowie has lane choice.

It's Whiteley from start to finish to run the quickest pass of the weekend. It's expensive thought, he had replaced an engine from round two, and now has a huge BANG and a ton of smoke from the engine just past the finish line. Ouch! He is the 2010 LODRS 7-4 Champion.

    Jim Whiteley's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.011), 330 ft(-0.003), 660ft(0.010), 1,000ft(0.013). MOV: 0.0078 seconds (approximately 3 feet).

    Shawn Cowie's incremental times: 60ft-0.895 sec., 330ft-2.322, 660ft-3.460/216.10 mph, 1,000ft-4.440.
    Jim Whiteley's incremental times: 60ft-0.926 sec., 330ft-2.345, 660ft-3.470/219.29 mph, 1,000ft-4.447.

    Hats off to Jim...

Congrats to Jim, Norm and the whole gang, we needed yours to expire about 3 feet sooner, thanks for the beers though!
Mike Rice and the NHRA/Sonoma crew did an awesome job with the track. I don't know about the others but our car was still liking it and wanted more "nasty". Maybe we can steal Demke's "green Guy" and the "little red Guy", should go faster huh Adam?

on a good run the BAD's should pick up 52-56 mph on the back half.

Bill looks like the front half is solid, wow, .8's twice, what happened to the back half.
I know I am never happy.
glad you ran well, but how Sonoma is quicker than Mission

    Mission to Sonoma...

It's easy to answer your last question Dean, Sonoma was a far better surface than Mission even at 120 degrees. That is, our car liked it, maybe Mission works for another car, usually you have too much air for the bite in the track.
The top end charge is coming Dean, don't worry.
So skip the Toys R Us trip then Adam?

    Bill Moore

For those guys reading this thread- Bill Moore is the tuner behind the Cowie performance. I have known Bill for years since he worked with Roger Bateman on the Bateman and Reynolds team. He is probably one of the MOST underrated tuners in the sport not to mentioned one of the nicest guys around. What do I need to do to get him to work on my team? Dave Germain

    Betting on speeds...

Adam, you got me good with our last bet on ET (and track temp and air temp!)
Just tell me what speed we will run and I will send you the dollar.
And another thing, you guys have to take this drag racing more serious, your having way too much fun.

See you at the next one, Bill Moore, Cowie TAD 4

    Thanks Dave

I really appreciate the kind words Dave, it is cool when your peers let you know you are okay. Let us not forget that it is a team effort over here though.
By the way, we still have those orange safety cones you lent us. Car has been runnin' decent since, maybe...

Bill, What a great race, .007 at the stripe! good thing our car coasts good. Great job this weekend to you and the entire team. Adam, hey have you seen a Ynot logo mat around? I was thinking about it and you should start saving up your beer cans and turning them in for money to buy me my new bike that you owe me!
