What do y'all think about the rumored secret develpoment of a billet case by the previous owner who has come back to his former company, will this be included in the blower moratorium or just slid in as the C rotor was until the word got out ? WDFNI

Aside from being quite a bit heavier, I would think they'd be pretty easy to spot. If I was a betting man and there truly is a billet case out there/in development; I'd assume it was for ADRL and not the alky ranks.

    billet

As Brandon said, these cases will be easy to spot, and they are for ADRL development.

Billet cases are illegal per the NHRA Rulebook for roots blowers, likely because billet cases have been in production/available at the time of the printing of the book. I would guess with a pricetag of around $5k for the case, plus the $12k for the "blower", that's one expensive rulebook ammendment for the person who would like to test the waters.

    psi

Norm is back at PSI and doing great. Talked to him yesterday. He is working for Roger on some new projects. Got a lot of his health problems straightened out. Sounded like a new man.

The new cases will be billet aluminum, so it won't be hard to spot, and I don't suspect NHRA will make it legal for Top Alcohol.

Jim Collins was all over our blower at Las Vegas after we qualified #1. With his pocket full of templates I don't think much will squeeze past him. Later after the event I found out we were accused of cheating by one of our beloved competitors because "they don't run enough events to run that good." Collins knows my car better than I do so I doubt that was the reason for his visit.

I told Collins I was glad I took my custom made overdrive gearbox off. You know, the one that fits under the stock PSI front cover plate that spins the rotors 125% over with 92% over pulleys on the engine.

We were at a race and Jim came over and said he wanted to look at our PSI. We asked him if he had gone over to the $@%&#$ pit and looked at their PSI, as we were both running very well. He said he did, but they said they were eating dinner, and asked that he come back later......
