If you are talking about sealing water, I put a little RTV around the water ports, if they seep at all we use some radiator stop leak.

I have always used hylomar and sprayed it let it dry then sprayed it again after 3-4 coats applied in that manner it has always had a thick enough film to seal any flat surface.

If you have a warped surface or one with deep teeth from machining, then Toyota "Seal packaging 102 FIPG" is the stuff to use the PN is P/N 00295-00103

No it will not make your throttle stick wide open!

I re-torq once the day after assembly, and again after the first race day. Also, if for some reson the engine does not need to come apart during the winter, I remove the heads and re-seal anyway - I think the cold effects the seal.

    Also, the low pressure cap.

I currently use Hylomar but have also used silicone around the holes.

The product that also can work is the one sold in motorcycle stores to seal engine cases , hondabond, yamahabond ect it will not separate the cylinder head from the gasket .

Anyhow the best gasket I have found in water aplication is that new SCE gasket with the silicone already built it.
