Am i correct in thinking that if i have a door car that is spinning on the top end that i need to stand the rear wing up more and put more down force on it ?

Door cars seem to respond better with a taller wicker bill rather than more angle to the rear deck lid. Ya may want to look into that.

    shocks

if you monitor shock travel, make sure you have stiff enough shocks that you don't just have more down track squat absorb the downforce rather than applying it to the rear tires.

A Gurney flap/lip will help if the suspension is all cool, basically just a 1" x1" or so piece of angle along the back edge of your deck spoiler or wing,
Here's a link to some info i just found for you, Good luck !
