Actually, (turns head, digs toe in dirt, clears throat), there really wasn't a problem. A friend came over tonite and solved it in less than a minute.

As a reminder, the transbrake would work fine to back me up after the burnout, but wouldn't engage in 1st when I went into the beams. I am running a delay box. You guys on the right track yet? :D

I forgot that I had set a transbrake lockout in the delay box that prevents the transbrake from being activated a second time until a preset time elapses. This keeps it from being activated during a run. Unfortunately for me, the time between backing up, and hitting it again at stage wasn't long enough for the lockout to expire. All I needed to do was hit the little reset button on the delay box before I went into the beams and all would have been well.

    Embarrassing, but easy to fix!

    Thanks for all your suggestions.

When I had a box in my Q8 car we ran two TB buttons. One was wired to the box and fuel/ignition timers, the other was wired directly to the brake itself. My box wasn't within reach so this worked for us.
