I have a couple of questions that I wanted to see if I could get some help on. I run a KB 496ci hemi with a Littlefield 1471 hi helix. I only run 250ft thru sand/mud. Im wanting to change up a little, I spin the blower 36% but want to try 42-45%. As of now I only run hat nozzles (62). The main has a 100 and the leanout is a 60. Im also having a sheetmetal intake built that is going to raise the blower around 2 inches, from 4 1/4 to 6-7 inches. Wanting to make a little more power to make sure I stay in the hunt! Will this work or am I going in the wrong direction? Please just remember I'm only running 250ft. Thanks for any help.

there should be more things todo before a manifold change. gears, cam, rpm range. blower drive will give 4-6lbs more boost. that will help power.

i agree, you should have way more power than you'll ever need with a 14 hhr on a std manifold. I'd say port nozzles are essential and then fine tune the fuel system.

Evil i run 200 feet. I spin my deal at 51%. I would not change your intake, but would definatly change your fuel. Add Port as soon as you can. I couldnt imagine running without them.

I'm having the intake built because my old one needs replacing. Its a old style crager manifold, burst panel bolted shut and just relying on the aluminum studs to break if the blower coughs. As far as gear change, I really can't go any lower without starting to break the ring and pinion because its getting to thin, I run a 650 gear now. As far as the port nozzles can anyone give me a starting point? I have run hat nozzles only for several years and have never messed with port nozzles. The set up is in a rear engine 4 wheel drive. Thanks again for any help.

Seeings how you are already getting an intake built, do your self a favour & get your the blower set back 6" & buy an offset.
