Density Altitude ?

    Is it the same or similar to corrected altitude? Where can I read up on this?

    In quick simple terms I believe corrected altitude you're hearing is the same as density altitude. Density altitude is described as Pressure altitude, that is "corrected" for non standard temp. So basically whatever the Pressure altitude is +/- depending on temps/humidity/pressures to get DA. Density altitude is the altitude you "feel" like you're at, or where the car "feels" like it's at. So if it's hot and humid, the air density is roughly the same as if you were high in the sky. Those books are very good for explaining in more detail. Hope this helps....
