TIG Filler Rod

    What's the best filler rod to use when welding mild steel tabs to a chromoly chassis? I need to weld some Pro Jack tabs on my car but don't have any chromoly thick enough.

    I used 70s2.

    ER70S is fine or you could use 60 if you have it. Those are common fillers. The number designates tensile strength 70 is 70,000 lb. For what your doing prob. just about any steel filler would work.

    use a mild steel rod...70 would be fine..dave
