timing on bae alky motors

how much timing are you guys running with bae 6 or 8 heads?

 

Timing

Blown Alky motor with Brad 6 heads 526 cu inch, 14-71 M5 roots blower/ Lenco Drive and we run 23 degrees...leave the line with a 2 step and it only has 12 degrees in it for the launch and we ramp it back in once we get moving! 23 is very safe..I know guys who run a lot more but 23 works for us! We are only running in the high 5.70's for the 1/4 and we don't push the motor very hard! Very rarely hammer a bearing and if we do it is only 1 or 2 thousands at the most!
