Need your help!!!

Hello Friends!!
Well, most of you may not know, but my BFF of 20 years and a very good freind of the Barklage team, Michelle, has been fighting Leukemia for most of her 20's. She used to run the timing system at our local track KCIR! She had a bonemarrow transplant two years ago, which has unfortunately failed. Most recently, she has participated in a FDA study and received a double cord blood transplant. I'm saddened to say, this has not gone well. Due to complications from the treatments, she has lapsed into a coma five weeks ago. Currently, she reamins comatose and in ICU at KU Medical Center here in Kansas City.

Now, for those of you who know me - it's very hard for me to sit by and do nothing. Since I have no medical degree, I've decided to throw all my "cure finding" efforts into the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I will run a 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) in October in honor of Michelle's fight. I MUST raise a large amount of money in order to participate, but most importantly to help a very worthy cause!!! I know this sounds VERY cliche, but I really hope some day in the near future, someone else won't have to see their BFF suffer the way I've had to sit and watch mine suffer for the past several years!

Many of you know Fast Jack Beckman has been invoivled with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for a while now after his battle and victory over Lymphoma. I am proud to say, I have recently met with Jack and we, Barklage Racing will be teaming up with Jack and pulling our efforts for this amazing cause. WE NEED A CURE!

Did you know leukemia and lymphoma are blood CANCERS?? There are NO tumors to cut out... Most do not know they have the caner until it's a major problem. There are few early warning signs.
