Our racetrack is an old airport. It is getting better, but still has a long way to go. On my first outing it squatted down, wrinkled up the tires and then tore 'em loose. Of course part of the problem was that it had snowed on the track two days before the race. On my next runs I'm going to start taking timing out at the hit, and then ramping it back in over time to see what I can get it to do. Is there a limit to how much timing can be taken out? In my mind, I can't see why there would be any limit. It would just burn in the pipe and kill power.

I guess another way to phrase the question might be to ask how much timing some of you have had to take out to get down poor tracks. Just looking for a set of parameters to help.

By the way, we haven't had snow on the track for over a week, and it's supposed to be partly cloudy and 68 degrees. Should be great conditions, might even see low 8000' densities! :D

Its a fuel head hemi, 44mag. Don't know how to describe the cap, but it's bigger than the mag body. Using 8973 box, red coil, capacitor.

I currently have it set to 32 degrees and was thinking of pulling 10 out for the first hit.
