Should the bead lock rings meet the wheel or should there be a gap? i have american racing trakstar pro series 16x16 double bead lock wheels with goodyear 34.5x17x16. we torqued the bolts to 18ft lbs around and around and the ring gap is not even. I have never worked with beadlocks before. Is this right? will this change after a few hits on the tire?
    Thanx, Mike

    bead locks

I have only used Centerline/champion bead locks, when the bolts are torqued at 18f/lb the ring is seated on the rim. No gaps

Gap should be even if there should be a gap. My Centerlines do not have a gap, seats even, and I tighten to 20#

    no gap now

By the advice of some racers I ran the car on the stands and spun the tires up in speed then rechecked and tightened the bolts to 20 ft lbs and all the gaps closed up and rings are even.

    Thanks
