Which Tire

I read some of you are experiencing issues with stability of Hoosiers

We are going back to Hoosiers this year. Ran Goodyear's for the last few seasons, worked well on really good racetracks, but not very good on marginal ones. My experience is that you get 10 to 12 runs out of Hoosiers, maybe more if running on a great track. We have consisitently gotten 20+ runs out of the Mickeys.

 

Just changed out a set of Hoosiers (17x16x34.5) with about 50 passes on them. All was fine till about 45 passes then was going into tire shake. Replaced the tires and right back to where we were, crystal clear run with no shake. Tread depth was fine, sidewall had to be going away.

 

Had problems with the M/T tires. They was outa-round. Slapped on a set of Hoosiers, straight downBroadway!

 

Ran Hoosiers and Goodyears.

Prefer the Hoosiers more actually. No flaws in the Goodyears on our stuff. Ran the 1022 and the 2622 and really liked both.

Now we run the 2055, 34.5 Hoosier and the car seems to respond better with it.

Both are good tires, I just think it hinges on what your car "likes" more, not really one is better than another.

 

What air pressure are you guys running in the Hoosiers verse the GoodYears?

5 1/2 - 5 3/4 with the Hoosier.
