who or where do I need to call to get the aluminum Timesert spark plug thread repair inserts? I have been told to only use the aluminum but all I can seem to find are the steel. Called Timesert and they gave me dealer numbers to call and they didnt even believe me when I told them they made them in aluminum. And do I really need aluminum

When using the steel inserts, have you guys noticed a EGT to spark plug color change. Like the plug won't show the heat like it used to.

My mistake then, I thought the copper colored ones were copper. I've used them 3 times now and cannot tell the difference ?

    experience

I have no experience with steel or aluminum inserts, but I have been told that the steel insert acts as a glow plug, or 'can' act as a glow plug/hot spot.
