this is a air shifted funny car.

    how is fitted
    Thanks

You can run two buttons, one can be on the wheel and ran through a box w/ a lockout feature. The other button can be on the dash and used for backing up from burnout, pulling forward to burnout, etc etc.. We've been running a Lencodrive for about 8 yrs. now and have never had a problem, we only use one button on the wheel.

I'm thinking about doing this on my car. Why not place anair over electric normally closed switch on the first pod. Once the trans shifts to second the power to the transbrake is removed so it and not be engaged by accident.

You buy a jerry bickel JBRC5531 air/electric switch or similar. Run your transbrake 12volt wire thru the normally closed side of the switch. You put a t on the second gear air pod and run it to the swicth. Now when you are in first gear there is no air going to the second gear pod so the switch will send power to the transbrake when you push the button. Once you launch and hit second gear the air will make the switch open so 12 volts will not pass if you accidently hit the button. Once you get to the end and release the pods for first gear you will have the transbrake again. I hope this is what you want.
