we run a b@j big boy with the shifter pods on the steering wheel. after the first run, she got out of the car with trans fluid all over her and the dash. is this common since the trans does not have pods like lenco. is there a way to stop this ?

    B&j

A little mist is not really that abnormal, but if you are getting more than that you may need to put new o-rings on the pistons. another possibility is a piece of debree in the o-ring. Hope this answers you question. If not call Mike Strausburg at B & J he will help you out and is a great guy. Richard Putz

Thanks for the reply. The buttons are new, only 5 runs. Might check o rings...

just a note to tell you I ment the o-rings on the inside of the trany. we have had this same problem you are having and that is what it took to fix our oil spraying into the cockpit problem. Rich

there are 2 o-rings on the piston, inside the trans. we had the same problem a few years ago, and went to the next size bigger o-ring and the problem went away. also, make sure that there are no deep scratches or gouges in the piston as this will let fluid go by as well. give Mike a call and he will walk you through it if needed.

Call and talk to mike , if your trans has a couple of years use he will send you a set of oversize o-rings, which are a bit harder to install but will stop that oil blowback.

just to clarify the shifter buttons have nothing to do with the trouble, the trouble is with the main o-rings at the piston inside the transmission
