    Hi,
How and where do the Whitey valves plumb into the fuel system on a TA/FC?

Also, if you plumb the fuel return lines into a fuel block, where do you typically plumb the fuel block to....to return the fuel? My fuel cell has no return ports....would it plumb back into the supply line from the tank to the pump?

Sorry about the newbie questions....but I am thinking there are many more to be asked!

    Thanks

FYI, I don't run a TA/FC, just blown alky tractor pulling.

We run our return lines back to the inlet of the pump with a fitting like whats on this page. http://www.goodvibesracing.com/Pump_Inlet_Fittings.htm
Everyone has there own opinion and experience on this, but I've always had good luck returning directly in front of the pump and I used to go back to tank.

    This might also help. http://www.goodvibesracing.com/Technical/injector_instructions_BA.pdf

You might consider having your system setup by a fuelflow guy that does more systems for TA/FC.

I don't know about TA/FC but on my blown altered I ran the whitey valve off of the T on the fuel pump shutoff. As far as running the line back to the tank, I have 1 inch rubber line coming off the tank going into 1 inch aluminum pipe and I welded a tube with a AN fitting angled into the line in the direction of fuel flow so as not to disrupt the fuel flow. The fittings are probably about a foot away from the pump. I ran a #8 for the fuel return that comes off of the return log and a #6 for the whitey valve. Hope this is clear to you.

    Thanks

Thanks for the info....that helps a lot!

    I appreciate the responses.

When the time comes....I will buy a tune-up......just thinking things through for now.

It looks to me like the K-style BV has an input and output, a pump saver output, an idle check valve, and a high speed. The output feeds a Y-block for the injector and port nozzles.

It's just not clear to me how the whitey valve would be plumbed in to enrich or lean the system....which circuit does it plumb into?

Put the valve either off the T on top the fuel pump or in the line that runs between the pump and k valve. If you run a normally closed valve it opens and relieves fuel back directly to the return for whatever pressure or time you have it set at. If is is a normally open valve it closes and allows more fuel to the engine for your set amount of time.

    "Whitey" Valve?

    Guys,

Enlighten me here. Where and why are you using a "Whitey" valve in the fuel system.
What type of "Whitey" valve our we talking about?

In my life that pays for my racecar, I work in a nuclear power plant and we use "Whitey" valves alot.
"Whitey" is a brand name of a valve sold by Swagelock. They make Ball valves, Needle/Metering valves, plug valves, check valves, etc.
I am confused when only the brand name is used.

    Hi,
    Thanks again for the responses.

Regarding the whitey valves.....I don't know much....but here goes:

I should probably be calling it a fuel management system.

It is a fuel log with a series of valves, you can use timers, and other triggers to to open and close valves as the car goes down the track. Each valve has a jet, to meter the fuel that is by-passed.

Valves can be normally open or normally closed until activated.

    Thanks
