I voted than wondered if you only want Brooks rods owners to vote?

Our Howards are forged with the ditch in them.

i am talking all manufactures, it is usually an option to or not have them.
when I ran howards rods the ditch cut was done with a end mill, forging them in much be something they changed in the last couple years. The Howards rods were cut with either a ball end mill or flat end mill, it must of depended on what was in the mill at the time! :)

How about telling us why or why not you have it done?

It is what they do to lighten them. Fuel Rods are solid beam. ALKY rods you can have them done. All my fuel rods were solid beams. When I went back to the supercharger, I just sent them back to Jerry, and he lighten the beam. Hope it helps a little. Don
