I have ran a iron block for the past 19 yrs, 2010 is my first go around with a aluminum block. How much more deck growth will this thing see? We had some tight clearance on the exhaust valves in 2009 and were gonna take about 15 out of the pocket, but... Since now I have an aluminum block just curious how much this thing will grow and what my quench and piston to valve clearances will be effected now.
    Thanks
    Jim

What kind of combos are you guys getting .010 change from hot to cold on? On the brad 5 we ran in our top alky hydro I set the valves by feel cold, just when I could feel it wasn't 0 it was set. hot it was a perfect .026. I know a little primative but it worked. but on a 481x olds the .012 cold gives us a hot .024.
