Summit site is saying converter and that John's pass today was the quickest ever with one.

:)Yes we are running the torque converter. The same one from last year.

    Fred,
Thanks for compliment. Everyone says hello and hope to see you racing soon.
You asked for a few more 5.50's so there they are. Don't you want to see a few 40's?

Thanks for all the generous comments. We all worked hard over the winter, my brother Chuck, Billy, Frank, Kyle, and Ron really did a great job. I,m not saying a convertor is for everyone, but it is for us.
    Thanks again so much,

D1 will definitely be at or near the top of the TAFC wars in '10.

To all the East Coast guys what a fantastic showing for the first race of the year. I wish you continued success and can't wait to see you guys at the track.

And they said a convertor could not throw down 50's??? Didn't Mic Snider switch to a standard Clutch?

Snyder ran .50's with their converter setup, the last two years of TAFC they had a clutch in it. With the Pro Extreme car they are using the Coan Converter/Lencodrive setup again.

Yes Snyder ran in the .50's, I think the quickest was 5.595. I also think the cars were 50 LBS. lighter then. That number has been the driving force behind the East Coast Team. The next step would be to see a run in the 5.40's. They think it is possible under the right conditions.

Brandon, I hear you run a converter too. Great job this weekend.

Thank you and yes we also run the converter setup. We see great potential in the setup, 5.44 & 5.45 were only the 2nd and 3rd pass on our new car/setup. We're putting a new motor in it now that I'm used to the car, next stop 5.3x's!
