I am buying radios this year to run in a Top Dragster set-up blower car.

Some people like the helmet speakers some like the ear buds?

Anyone used either? what is most comfortable and are the speakers loud enough?

    Thanks!

i have only used the speakers in the helmet. i ran a nostalgia nitro funny car and i could here just fine with the car running. give dan brown a call with chitown race products. he can hook you up cheaper than others.

Tried both, prefer the speakers, they can never fall out, and you not hear important info, like the other guy red-lit :D

    Race radios

I just brought some from Dan Brown, and they are on there way out at the moment, from placing the order with him they were sent within a couple of days, most helpful guy to deal with and explained a lot of questions that I asked, recommend you contact him as a sellers of these products.

You guys got me thinkin' that I didn't have a radio yet for my TD. I just called Dan and he educated me on race radios. I ended up ordering his Promod setup with driver and two crew. To keep this thread on topic, I went with the helmet speakers at his suggestion. I didn't want to risk the distraction of having an earbud fall out.

Bought mine from Dan at the beginning of last year. It was the Pro-Mod setup with the helmet speakers. They work great. Since I'm going deaf I turn them up pretty loud and can hear just fine. You just have to watch out when your crew keys their mic when the other guy is doing his burnout and passing them. Gives you quite a shock!

I use the ear buds and the only reason is I don't hear very well:( but if I did have a choice it would be speakes in the helment..I've lost 2 pairs..and they are around $200.00 that sucks..Dave
