I did not know where else to put this & I felt you guys might be interested. A friend of mine has a super modified pulling tractor with 5 Allan Johnson motors with Kobelco 14-71 blowers. He was invited to go to a pull in Ahoy Holland this past weekend. His name is Dave Archer, his Daughter Kathy drives, the Black Widow. Picture the entire tractor only weighs 7700#
Here are a couple of videos of the tractor on You Tube.

That is great, that is 12000+ hp in that tractor. Yea, run the valve and change the plugs. That is 80 valves and 40 plugs. So how many quarts of oil is that and how much methanol used in a run?

Pretty neat how they start them with the lever on the clutch cross shaft.

I met Dave at the big pull in Tomah, WI where he unveiled that beast. The two front motors on each side are bolted together at the crank and clutched on the rear motor into the gearbox. 3 - 11" glide clutches on that beast. Pretty impressive display of power. The funnier thing was that he had 2 complete fresh motors in the trailer. Complete = Oil pan to the injector

    hook and pull

I'm to dumb to do the link but look at the dragon fire tractor on you tube. It's a 42cyl. 10,000 hp. radial engine Euro puller.

    Dragon Fire & Dave Archer

Dragon Fire, think about this, it was a Russian Diesel aircraft engine that they rebuilt to run on methanol. It runs through one clutch!

Dave Archer is the nicest guy you would ever want to meet. He started out as a union pipe welder. He now owns a approximatly 6 business. He does ALL his own work, he is the one who designed the Pioneer front mag drive, because people said it could not be done, he built this tractor, because he was told he could not get that many engines with 14-71's on them in the 8,000# max weight class. He makes his own copper head gaskets just because he can and he feels good doing it. He works at his business 14 hours a day or more then comes home and works on his pulling tractor! He has his own dyno. Regarding the 2 complete engines in the truck, that means he left one home, I think he has 8 complete motors, ready to run.

    Here is his dyno, http://dynobill.com/
It says 2500 HP but I thought it could handle 5000, so 2 crank to crank could be tested at the same time.

Policy peddler, why did he get rid of his turbocharged 4 motor setup?
