Hi,I am wondering what Fuel Pressure regulator would be ideal for our 434 sbc with the blowthrough Methanol and F-1R Procharger with the C&S alcohol carb w/electronic bowls. We are going to be running the Enderle 110 belt drive pump(12.54gpm),and we currently have the Aeromotive 13202 regulator, but I read in some places that we should run the Aeromotive 13209 Double Adjustable regulator,so we can adjust IDLE pressure, and WOT pressure seperate, because of how a belt drive pump works, increases pressure with engine RPM,were an electric pump pumps the same pressure,no matter what the RPM is. What are your guys thoughts on this, just want to make sure we run the correct regulator,so everything works together.

Also I noticed the 13209 regulator only has an -8an inlet, were as my 13202 has a -10an inlet,I am guessing this doesn't matter, since the belt drive pump pumps so under so much more pressure?

    Thanks,Brian

I would suggest about a 20 psi poppet at the high side of the pump, makes the system more manageable.

Brian, just some thoughts. With the electronic seats I would think they only open based on fuel level sensed, so unlike a conventional seat, when using the largest needle and seat are prone to seeping at seemly low pressure due the the area/pressure on the needle/seat. (Hope that makes sense to you)

I personally run the 13202 with a Hilborn #1 pump on gas and it supports 2000hp+ at 38 psi boost. At engine idle the fuel pressure is low enough to not be a problem with seepage. And as the boost rises so does the fuel pressure which the 13202 boost referenced regulator maintains a delt T differental for boost vs fuel pressure in the carb. At 38 psi boost I'm seeing about 49-50 psi fuel pressure in the carb. The boost referenced companys claim a 1 to 1 ratio on boost to fuel pressure. But I find most are more in the area of 1.1-1.2 to 1ratio.

You can try the 13202 and if it seeps then use the 13209. But I suspect that's not going to be the case with the electronic needle/seat.

    Hope that helps...............Blessings............Ron Clevenger.

Ok,thanks for the good info guys,I called Roger at C&S today, and he said the 13202 regulator would work fine with the Enderle 110 pump, but I may have to pulley my pump so that it only flows 60-70% of it's capacity, since it flow's so much. He also said that we may have to switch to a -12an return too,but told us to try the -10an first, because it might work.

    Thanks,Brian

The 12 return would be my suggestion also. Gets the by-passed fuel from the boost referenced regulator out of the way more easly. A 10 feed from pump to regulator will serve your purpose also. But since you already have a 12 feed just leave it alone and save the money.

    Hi Ron,we have a 12 feed from cell to pump,and 10 from pump to regulator,and a 8 to each bowl,10 return.

Should be just fine, make sure you have a good fuel cell vent.

    Blessings........Ron.
