Strange 9" top loader tool kit

    Hi all, working on an altered with a 9" top loader. I know how to replace gears on a standard 9", but the previous owner says we need a "Tool Kit". Does anyone know what it consists of, or how much this kit costs? Thanks, Tom.

    I purchased a tool kit with my 9' top loader in 1984 and paid about $600 for it. I still use the same rearend in a AA/FA, never broke anything on it. Just takes time to change the gear set. You MUST have the tool kit.It is very nice. It has to be the same for all top loaders.

    If you want me to I could send you a pic of all the tools to do it with..if you do any machine and fab work it would be very simple to make..the reason I didn't make mine is it came with the toploader..Dave
