Dose anybody run these GM based blocks they have deck hight up to 11.700. Pros and Cons of such a tall deck. ? How do they stack up to KB and other cast blocks when used in the blown alcohol. Thank for the info.

Myself and a few friends have run them, kinda hard to keep rear mains clean with a wet sump. Dry sumps seem to do better but still kinda touchy
tallest we had was a 10.7 deck

Ran one years ago. Never had a oiling problem, + loved it. I would buy another one in a heart beat if I was going to go in that direction. Just my thoughts. Don

I have had one since 2000 when Arias was making them. I have never had a rear main problem either. They are excellent blocks.

    New Century block

Call Brenden Murry 408-266-3324 he runs them in nostalgia top fuel and went a 5.879 at 246+ I crewed for Brenden a few times and he is an A1 guy to deal with. I also bought a block from him and it was excellent, he is sponsored by New century and rotates out blocks so he'll have a used one most likely. Also Lowell and the guys at New century are great at service and will help anyway they can. Lowell spent hours on the phone with me while I was in Iraq answering ?'s and calming me down after a rocket attack so he is a great guy and a great businessman. They have made some improvements over the KB old and Arias blocks, When I had one I talked to Brenden before he was sponsored and he liked them more than the KB units.

Hope this helps, if you call new century give them all my best.
