I am looking to upgrade to a CF hat and have heard from a few people that they have issues with distortion from temp changes or whatever that affects how the butterflies seal causing starting line rpm issues. I also talked to someone that actually runs one and says they personally have never had an issue.

Can owners of CF hats chime in on this subject and let me know their personal experience with running one and if the stories about butterfly sealing and idle rpm's being an issue?

    thanks

No problems with my JBR four hole. It has the aluminum section that houses the butterflies.

Have the Faulk and have only had a problem when the direct sun is on it for a length of time the blades will become sticky off of idle . We just cover it up with a towel and zero probs now .
