I was wondering what the head studs should e torqued to on a KB hemi with 9/16 head studs. I will be running alcohol with 11.5 compression ratio. Any help you can supply would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chuck!

    KB head torque

This is what we were told to use:
Inside the valley - 60 ft lbs
Rocker stands - 150 ft lbs
Bottom row - 130 ft lbs
small side nut in the pocket - HAND TIGHT!

    Hope this helps

They are High strenght tool steel studs.

In a forged billet block using peanut butter you can torque up to 165#
(this was on a fuel motor dont imagine you need to go that much).

BTW how many of you using them have found holes in your valve covers from them exploding from condensation. This does happen

We had Veney heads, and our rocker stands were seperate from the head studs so our rocker stands were only torqued to 50 ft lbs.
