We are running a 2 speed lencodrive in our Supercharged outlaws car (Australia) and are having problems with driveshaft slipping. We are getting 15-22% driveshaft slippage. We have installed new clutch's sprags and new convertor from different maufacture but still getting the same result. The trans. oil pressure is dropping from about 80psi to around 25psi at the end of a run and trans is getting so hot that the plastic on the filter is melting and the convertor is getting so hot that the paint is burning off. Has anyone else had these sort of problems and my know how to fix it?

We've never had such issues, but I'm sure Snyder can help you. Give Larry or Mick a call at 219*987*2921.

How much air pressure are you running on your shift pod and is it adusted so there is full travel on the detent ring? It needs 250# ideally but a bare minimum of 200#. Or possibly pump is going away.

Like 23T said, That's definately the pump. Pull it apart see how chewed up the housing is. From the tip of the conveter to the face of the can, what's that measurement between the 2? but before you take that measurement take all the end play out of the crank! meaning push the crank towards the rearend then take that measurement.
If it did get as hot you're saying you better check the o-rings in the servos as well ;)

We have checked the are pressure off the reg with another gauge and is 250psi. The clutches are comming out looking new so we dont theres a problem there. When we put the new convertor in we also put a new pump in from Lenco as the old one had a few minor grooves in the housing. The new one when we took it out has now got some major marks in the bronze bush but none in the back of the housing looking like it has tried to lock up. Dont know if this is from getting hot
