I just aquired a CS1 Lenco with a 3 disc clutch. I want to go to a automatic conversion, Lenco drive , or Bruno. But before I do I would really like to hear what you all think.
Car is a 3200lb door car running a 434 KB Hemi with 1471 and a Barn Door injector. Motor has a good tune on it and the motor trans combo came out of an altered.
    Suggestions?

    Lenco

This is more of an opinion than suggestion but the popular thing to do now is to go to the lenco/converter trans, but I run a Lenco with a clutch in my top sportsman car and I have great fun with it. I'm not out there to win the world championships, just have fun. Its pretty consistant as well, with the proper revlimiters and twosteps its not bad.

    My 2 cents

My first concern is I have no clutch experience and the second is no crew to maintenance a clutch either. So I thought it would be best to simplify it.
We are not out to set the world on fire either just love to go fast and race with some fun heads up guys.

    Lenco

As long as your not driving throught the clutch(did that my first day out) or making some really poor tuning decisions, you really don't have to do much between rounds. I usually go a whole day without even opening the can. There are a lot of guys on this forum who can help you with clutch setup.

But a Lencodrive is still the easiest way to go.

As above the Lencodrive definatly will not work with CS1 trans you need a bruno drive unit, or there are others available, B&J ect

    bruno

    I run a bruno / cs2 set-up behind a blown brad running low 6's in a 2300 lb rail.
I use the Coan 'Super Mega" bolt-together convertor.
Never in 3 years had a problem, 'cept for the reverser, but that was my own idiotic error...
plus the guys at coan are real nice to work with.
