hey i was just wondering if anybody else had problems with crushing those tiny rocker shaft bearings. changing them is no big deal its just annoying. i thought about making bronze sleeves for them like a hemi but was scared it might do more damage than good. oh my set up is pro mod car 526 bbc at 20 over. makes about 4 psi more boost than trying to hold throttle blades at 5500. thanks

Why do you think the Two Step is causing it? It would think that it would be caused by valve float or an oiling problem. On the first startup of the day do you squirt oil on the valve train? Are you running oil restrictors?

    t&d rockers

I would say mike is correct. If you need better rockers Alex Westling of Westling Machine Milaca MN makes custom steel rockers lighter and stronger than aluminum. He is very ingenious and makes custom billet clutch disk racks
cool billet throttle cable brackets, manderals, billet hemi alternator brackets for block plates, and is getting into billet and water billet hemi, vw and disel
heads using knowlton thunder heads port designs.
Check him out if you want a race part he will make it.
    Good luck C.J.

Have you called T&D to ask them about this? perhaps they have something that might solve that problem, similar to the Isky EZ-Roll bearings on lifters. Give Sheldon a call, he's always gone above and beyond for me to provide great service, and stands behind their products.

the bearings will last all year if i swap feet. im leaving the starting line at 5700 and shifting at 9200 going thru the traps at 9400. the oiling system has no restrictors in the system and usually have around 140 oil psi . its been a problem for years . was just hoping somebody had been there fixed that! thanks jay

Jay, when on the Two Step do you bleed off fuel with a solenoid? Do you have a fuel flow meter on your data logger?

were priming the the motor every day before we race and make sure to check to that all rockers are getting lube. the 2 step selinoid is wide open and is still about half a gallon too rich.

Jay, incase you don't want to publish the GPM at stage then you can email it to me at mike.c@mindspring.com. Also what solenoid are you using with what size jet?
