Hi , I have just bought an altered that has been running in the 5.80s in comp trim over here in Australia , it comes complete but with no gearbox . It has a 481-x engine and psi d . I want a gearbox that can be airshifted and with a converter. I have always been a powerglide man and have had them air shifted before .I would like to go glide again but will it handle the power and last ? or is lenco glide the go ? I like things that are maintance friendly .

ATI powerglide is an is the best .

I tried a lenco drive and had several problems with it. Two years ago I got an
ATI superglide and put it behind a blown hemi in a dragster. We have been running with the Pro Top Outlaws and have run as fast as 3.85 in the 1/8 mile. We have had absolutely no problems with this transmission. This transmission comes with a 5 year warranty. We love it. ROCKY FLANAGAN

I have been running a Lencodrive for 9 years now. 6 years behind a blown small block, 2 years behind a blown hemi, and this last year in our NHRA TAD. We have never had a problem with ours in all that time. Call and talk to Larry or Mick Snyder 219-987-2921, they designed them, build them, service them, and can set you up with everything you need. Prior to the Lenco we ran a powerglide and couldn't keep the planetary gears in it.
