Heard Harker went 2.44 to 330' in the semi's against O'Bannon. Thinks the trigger went bad after that. That could have been a .49 or .50.

Well we went .925 / 2.444 at Silver Dollar and only ran a 5.55 (Dam) the rest of that track

Pretty impressive. Steve was on a run. There were quite a bit of 330 times in the 2.45-2.48 range on Sunday. Tasca's 2.419 from Gainesville is still the quickest 330 time I've ever seen by far.

    2.44

I went 2.44 at 330 on the 5.500 run. I always wondered what tascas 330 was on his run. Thanks Brad

Marc White in my car second round way back at the 2004 Winternationals ran .937 60', 2.44 330', 3.64 660', 4.66 at 1,000 feet. Ka-boom at 1,001 ft. 5.60 at 225 coasting. Those incrementals were .02 at 1/2 track quicker than the 5.55 we ran the round before so we guessed it might have run a 5.53 if it would have made it.

    http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCStory.asp?ID=13567&Filter=Year2004#indextop

On our 5.54 last weekend it ran 2.45 to the 330'. I would have to double check, but I think O'Bannon's numbers were 2.44 to the 330' on his 5.53 against us, and he went 208 miles per hour at 1/2 track.

    http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCStory.asp?ID=197126&Filter=Year2009#indextop

Bucky blew his up at the 2004 Chicago race when a pushrod fell off in high gear. Jay Payne left first off the line with an .072 reaction time to Bucky's .102, Bucky was ahead of Jay by the 330' and pulling away. Jay ran a 5.521 at 259.61 to Bucky's slowing 5.543 at 235.60. Those of us who saw the time slip felt Bucky was well on his way to the first 5.4 TA/FC run until trouble set in. I don't remember the incrementals but I do remember they were very stout.

    http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCStory.asp?ID=690&Filter=Year2004#indextop

Keep in mind 2004 the minimum weight was 2,250 pounds instead of the 2,300 pounds we have today.

IMHO, 2.44 to the 330' is quick, but to get it into the 5.40's you would need to carry more 1/2 track speed than Harker was carrying all weekend.

Here are the incrementals for Bucky and Jay from that Chicago race.
As you can see, Bucky was a bunch quicker at 330 660 and even 1000 feet.
    Bucky 0.102, , 0.939, 2.430, 3.612/208.91, 4.635, 5.543/235.6
    Jay 0.072, 0.963, 2.461, 3.645/209.23, 4.659, 5.521/259.61
    Bucky -.024, -.029, -.033 -.024 (Possibly going away right at 990 feet)

And as we know Bucky always charged hard on the big end.
What would have it been? The world will never know. :D

(I believe he told me when it went away)

    for comparison
    Manzo's 5.471 pass 0.941 sec., 330ft-2.432, 660ft-3.607/209.82mph, 1,000ft-4.616
    Manzo's 5.469 pass 0.943 sec., 330ft-2.434, 660ft-3.607/211.03mph, 1,000ft-4.614
    Manzo's 5.454 pass 0.935 sec., 330ft-2.419, 660ft-3.591/210.93mph, 1,000ft-4.599.

Buckys run definitely looks like a 49 or a 50, but not close to better than any of those 3 monster Manzo runs, if Buckys car slowed in the 800-1000ft range imo

Bucky numbers are just .005 seconds and less than one mile an hour slower than Manzo's 5.47 half track numbers until he lost a pushrod. And Bucky typically runs hard out the back door. I would have given him a 5.48 to a low 5.49. Woulda-shoulda-coulda. It didn't happen but we knew he was close.

Am I incorrect in saying that there has only been one sub-5.50 pass since 50 pounds were added to our minimum weight a few years ago? I believe Manzo ran a 5.49 in 2008 and no one ran a 5.4-anything in 2009. That extra 50 hurt.

Are Paul Gill, Manzo and Tasca the only 5.40's players in TA/FC??

Interesting. They got the speed wrong. It went 256.70 on that run. Then with Marc we ran a couple back to back 5.56's over 258 in 2004 in Chicago and another 5.56 at the 2004 Winternat's along with the other 5.5's we ran that aren't listed. That's coming up 6 years ago

What is awesome when I read these posts is how you guys remember all of your numbers. Before my ADD makes my head explode - can someone tell me how Manzo runs such incredible mph?

    Hey Doug,...
or anybody else for that matter that has a Race Car with
An ET that they would like to logg in over at the Draglists. It is basically a data base for all race cars, to keep history of the past performances by anybody who dragged raced ,..If your car is listed already and the info for a
particular year is not current,..or if you want to add a car with info you have,
you can submitt the info, or you can register for free, logg in, and add or change the info to the correct ET or year, or performance, equiptment, crew chief, class or whatever,...this all can be done here st this link.

    http://www.draglist.com/draglist/draglist_action.php?func=add

If you want to search for a car or driver go to this link...

    http://www.draglist.com/draglist/search.php

If you have anything to add to any of the current lists you can click an edit button, add the more current info,..or edit info that is not correct with the correct info, then submit it for approval, what that does is keeps records more current, and or it provides info that may have not been listed before.

    2.44

    We went
    60ft 0.917, 330ft 2.395, 660ft 3.577, 1000ft 4.604 and 5.508 @ 236 all over at 4.91 in the run.
That is with 125% on a D PSI compared to 92% on your rules though.
    Thanks Steven
