Spark Plug Torque

    What is an acceptable tension for a spark plug?
    BBC Dart 360's.
    What are the spark plug torque wrenches for the hemi's set at?

    aluminum heads with 14mm plugs NGK recomends 18.0-21.6 lb.ft :)

    You can adjust the plug T handles to any torque setting you want. I set mine at 18 ft lbs.

    Also as a note hear, we don't use anti-sieze compound anymore but use White Lithium grease. Over a period of time with the constant taking plugs out and putting them back in the metal particles in the anti-sieze compound wears out the threads in the aluminum heads.

    I agree with Mike. The anti-sieze also will dry up with the heat compounding the problem. There is high temp anti-seize I beleive it has copper in it. We use ARP assembly lube. Does a great job.
