    he got it done

Jim wins with a 5.262, I believe thats his best run ever and either the 5th or 6th fastest ever in a blown car with a rt of .008. Its just too bad Force couldn't finish her run her 60 foot was really good for an afuel car.

ties for the third quickest ever (remember it is quick not fast)
    Perry went 5.255 and 5.258 and 5.262

As far a speed (fast) goes, that 270.75 it is seventh FASTEST of all time

Not that I witnessed that run, (as I was happily meeting with my newest client Johnny Ahten at the time) But..... Normy freakin threw the hammer down on that run.... and Jim was up to the task as well with that light.

When Chris Demke ran his 5.32 in round one against Shields 5.21 in round one, I was a bit perterbed and thought...(Yup.. 92 Percent is in the cards for next year for the A/Fuelers....) Norms Tuning produced these numbers in ABSOLUTLY PERFECT conditions. That is about as good as a blown car can run, and it's STILL a tenth behind what Todd and Scott were producing IN VEGAS a week earlier.

I hate to bring up the old debate again, but facts are facts. When the A/Fueler hits that "SWEET SPOT" it is a tenth better than the blown alcohol car. The problem is this happens about 4 times per year TOPS.

I myself would love to see NHRA do NOTHING, (except inforce the 50 degree rule PRIOR to the run) for 2010. This year was a great year for Parity. Jim, Shawn Cowie, Perry, Demke, Thacker and a few more blown guys did very well in 2009. The A/Fuel contengent also had a pretty good year.

But, as far as this particular run is concerned.... CONGRATS to the Y NOT racing team for an EXCEPTIONAL run in the final round of 2009!!!
