Any way to tell???

    I have a kb block that is tore all to crap and i want to get a new one but i am having trouble telling if it is .100 tall or not kb says they dont have any info on the block is there a way telling without hauling to shop and having measured ?

    Measure from the crank centerline to the top of
    the deck,.. Try using a couple of straight edges.

    Usually KB can trace any block by the number stamped on any of its mains, i had a block that was made in 1987 and Ken found the measures.

    You can measure like was explained before.

    And if you knew the stroke ( use 1/2 for computing deck) add rod lenght and compression height and that will get you close as most block are -.500 , std , +.100 or +.250 its very rare to find other stuff.

    Simpler way, measure from top of snout to straight edge on top of block wright down measurement then measure snout diameter and add half of that to first measurement, do this with a 12 in. veneer caliper. ;)
