Im currently running a BBC 565 14/71HH SSI @ 24%OD making around 1900hp and am having a few issues keeping the bottom end together. I am thinking about switching over to a hemi and need some advice. What block, heads would you guys recommend? I run Outlaw Pro Mod and there are no restrictions. Would like to make around 2200hp without tearing everything up every pass. I dont know jack about a hemi so any input on Heads, Blocks, etc.... thanks

seriously look into the MBR (fontana) Hemi. I switched YEARS ago and never looked back. Rock solid, lots of power, and EZ to work on. Ask around and then getcherself one. you won't regret it!

I just switched from a chevy to a MBR hemi (Fontana) nothing really wrong with the new century chevy deal but I have to run it on kill to run in the three's in the eigth mile. With a hemi it will run better with less wear on parts. If you want to run low fours (in a dragster) a chevy is hard to beat ..... cheap and easy to find parts, but a hemi is just plain better. Call Bob Minor like Clint said. Jody Stroud

There are a bunch of folks on here that can help steer you in the right direction with info and parts, Rheel especially. I tore up 2 very nice BBC's before I realized I could buy excellent quality used T/F TAFC hemi stuff for much less than chevy stuff.

96 TFX Tall deck Or BAE used $2500- $3700
    AJPE fuel heads $1500

    To get started
