He makes rev limiters for Vertex and Mallory. We put 3 of them on our SM IV's this spring. They are a "soft touch" and you can quickly and easily set the RPM limit in 100 RPM increments.

The price is right and they are available in 2 step or single and with more options also.

Simply give it a 12 volt supply along with running 1 wire to the + of the coil.
