I've heard that Simpson won't recert to -20, only to -15...

I may have heard wrong though.

    DJ!!!!!!!!!! they recert.

Plus, i have friends that have had -20 Simpsons recerted to a -20. I have no first hand knowledge of this however.

If Phoenix closes shop, SFI will most likely allow some other company to recert. I've had other items (14.1 restraint) that were made by a company (Kuhl), and now can be recerted by DJ.

Sign of the times: Phoenix Apparel goes dark!

The folks at Phoenix Apparel, the official apparel manufacturer for the NHRA, reportedly has shuttered its operations. One of the Agent’s operatives was trying to purchase a custom firesuit from the company when he was told simply the Phoenix Apparel was no longer in business. [9/18/2009]

Has anyone tried "Sparco"? I tried on one of their suits in Vegas this spring... nice suit. I called one of there dealers, and asked them if it could be recerted in the U.S. or does it have to go back to Italy, he scarred me when he said "Recertify, What do you mean?" Any comments?

In regards to crew uniforms... Simpson is now doing sublimation with no art fee. Under $100 per shirt. You may want to give them a call.

Sparco is picking up where 'someone else' let us down. I have talked thoroughly with Courtney Enders about a 15 suit. I did get 20 gloves off of her too. I have her contact info if needed.
They are not the cheapest suit, but it is a quality company that will be around a while and that speaks volumes!!

:( It's sad to see another good business closing...
